Double-Pitch Transmission Chains

Twice the pitch of a standard roller chain. Suitable for longer center distance drives.

Roller chains with attachments. Commonly used for conveying and materials handling.

Roller Chain Components

Our deep understanding of each component allows us to engineer roller chains that deliver exceptional strength, precision, and reliability in every application.

Pins are exposed to shear and bending forces, especially during articulation. Acting as a pivot between plates, they must maintain dimensional integrity and strength under repeated cycles of motion.

Roller

The roller contacts the sprocket teeth directly, rolling along the bush to reduce friction during engagement. It must withstand impact, support dynamic loading, and help ensure smooth chain operation.

Bush

Bushes absorb shock loads and form the inner bearing surface for the pin and roller. High wear resistance and surface hardness are critical to maintain function and reduce internal friction over time.

Link Plate

The link plate bears the chain’s tensile load and is regularly subjected to fluctuating forces and occasional shock. It must offer both high static strength and fatigue resistance to ensure long service life.

ANSI Chain Dimensions

Our roller chains are built to ANSI B29.1 standards, ensuring precise dimensions and reliable performance. For roller chains of the Heavy Duty (H) Series, the outer plate thickness is equivalent to that of the next larger chain size, providing extra strength.

British Standard (BS) Chain Dimensions

Our British Standard roller chains are manufactured in accordance with ISO 606 B, BS 228, and DIN 8187 European standards. In general, BS standard chains have larger pin diameters compared to their ANSI standard counterpart, resulting in better wear resistance.
