Sprockets for Conveyor Chains

Reliable sprocket performance is crucial for the longevity and efficiency of any conveyor chain system.

That’s why all of our sprockets—whether cast or precision machine-cut—are produced with strict tolerances and rigorous quality control.

Rexton® offers several material options to meet different mechanical and environmental demands:

  • Cast Iron
  • Ductile Iron
  • Cast Steel

These cast materials provide excellent performance in most standard duty applications, with ductile iron offering improved impact resistance, and cast steel providing added toughness where higher loads are expected.

For applications subject to high shock loads, carbon steel sprockets with flame-hardened tooth flanks are available. The hardening process increases wear resistance at the points of contact, extending sprocket life in demanding environments.

In corrosive or hygiene-sensitive environments, stainless steel sprockets offer excellent resistance to rust and chemical exposure. These are commonly used in the food and beverage industry, as well as in applications where sanitation is a priority.

Split and Segmental Sprockets

In conditions where minimal downtime and easy maintenance are critical, Rexton offers both split-type and segmental sprockets.

Split Type Sprockets

Made in two precisely machined halves, split sprockets allow for quick installation and removal without disassembling shafts or bearings. This is especially useful in multistrand conveyors with long through-shafts, significantly reducing downtime and labor costs during replacement.

Segmental Tooth Sprockets

In systems where sprocket teeth wear faster than the chain, segmental sprockets allow worn tooth sections to be replaced individually. The chain remains in place during the process, minimizing system disruption and saving on full sprocket replacement.
