The Rexton® Jaw Coupling consists of two hubs with interlocking jaws and an elastomeric “spider” insert. This simple yet highly effective design offers vibration damping and misalignment capacity in a compact, easy-to-install coupling.

  • Shock absorption – Elastomer element dampens vibration, cushions shock loads, and reduces noise.
  • Fail-safe operation – In case of elastomer failure, interlocking jaws maintain limited torque transmission.
  • Low maintenance – No lubrication necessary. Replaceable elastomer element allows quick servicing with minimal downtime.
  • Misalignment tolerance – Accommodates up to 1° angular and 0.38 mm parallel offset.
  • Performance range – Power capacity up to 41 kW at 1400 rpm.
  • Operating temperature – Suitable for ambient temperatures from –40 °C to +100 °C.

Material Options

Hub Materials:

  • Sintered iron – Standard supply. Durable and economical for standard applications.
  • Stainless steel – Corrosion-resistant for humid or chemical environments.
  • Aluminium – Lightweight for setups requiring reduced overhung load and low mass moment of inertia.

Elastomer Materials:

  • Nitrile (NBR) – Standard supply. General-purpose, excellent oil resistance, moderate vibration damping.
  • Urethane (PU) – Higher torque capacity with reduced flexibility.
  • Nytrel – Heat-resistant and stiff, ideal for higher temperature or torsional rigidity requirements.
