Bucket Elevator Chains
Used to lift raw materials like limestone, clinker, and gypsum vertically.
Type:
- Forged chain (drop-forged link chain) — preferred for heavy-duty clinker handling.
- Bush chain — used for lighter materials or lower-capacity elevators.
- Cottered pin variation — for easier maintenance.
Material & Design:
- Alloy steel, heat-treated for wear resistance.
- Often with K-type or G-type attachments to carry buckets.

Drag Conveyor Chains (Redler or Scraper Chains)
Application: Horizontal or inclined conveying of raw meal, clinker dust, and coal dust.
Type:
- Welded steel drag chain — standard for abrasive bulk materials.
- Drop-forged scraper chain — for higher strength and durability.
Features:
- High surface hardness (through carburizing or induction hardening).
- Designed for minimal elongation and high fatigue resistance.

Apron Conveyor Chains
Application: For feeding clinker, hot cement, or limestone into crushers or kilns.
Type:
- Heavy-duty steel apron chains with pans or plates attached.
- Central chain or dual-strand design depending on load distribution.
Features:
- Must resist high operating temperatures (up to 200–300°C).
- Fitted with heat-resistant bushings and pins.

Reclaimer and Feeder Chains
Application: Used in stockyards to move bulk material (limestone, coal, clay).
Type:
- Welded steel chain with flight bars or forged reclaimer chains.
- Designed to operate under abrasive and dusty conditions.

Transmission and Drive Chains
Application: Power transmission for crushers, mixers, and kilns.
Type:
- Roller chains (ANSI or BS series) — for medium-duty drives.
